Sophisticated real-time processing realises pinpoint eye focus even when subjects are looking down or up at steep angles, allowing the operator to concentrate fully on composing the best shot.

Powerful focus control for solo shooters

With AF Transition Speed selectable over 7 levels, and AF Subject Shift Sensitivity over 5 levels, you can better convey your creative intentions when switching subjects or, for example, rack focusing.

Lens-ring AF subject selection

When the AF Assist function is ON, rotating the focus ring instantly switches from autofocus to manual focus so that a different subject can be quickly selected. Autofocus operation resumes as soon as the user stops rotating the lens focus ring.

Auto focus area/position

For auto focus, you can set the target area among Flexible Spot, Zone, Wide and change the position of the target area quickly during shooting by simply touching the LCD monitor.
